Jessica Simpson FINALLY gave birth today, following what seems to have been a year long pregnancy. 

She announced the birth of baby girl, Maxwell Drew, on her official website today.

Well it’s official Brangelina are going to get married! 

There has been speculation for years about whether or not the pair would tie the knot and this week Ange was seen sporting a large diamond ring on her left hand. It didn’t take long for the couples respective camps to confirm that Brad had indeed put a ring on it. 

The couple, who have six children together, have always maintained that they do not feel the need to get married, but have said that if their children asked for it then they would do it. And it looks like Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox have asked Daddy to make an honest woman out of their mother. 

Brad proposed with a beautiful diamond ring that he helped design himself! The oblong ring was designed with jewellery maker Robert Procop and apparently took perfectionist Brad 12 months to create. Angelina is one lucky lady!

Calling all directors! Lionsgate are looking for a new director for the sequel to The Hunger Games; Catching Fire. 

It was announced this week that original director, Gary Ross would not be returning to direct the follow-up because he would not have enough time to create the film he wanted to. Following the immense success of The Hunger Games, it’s understandable that Lionsgate would want the sequel to be released as soon as possible, to cash-in on the hype, but it’s a little disappointing after Ross did such a great job. 

Ross said that the new time restrictions would mean that he couldn’t give the film the time and attention that it warranted and so he has decided not to do it. 

Catching Fire is scheduled for release in late 2013 and there has been no indication of who will replace Ross after his departure.

It may be on a small break at the moment, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of Vampire Diaries gossip to keep us going. 

Most noteworthy? We’re going to meet Elena’s parents! 

According TVGuide.com, the season three finale will feature flashbacks to the time before the death of Elena’s parents. We’re going to see the Gilberts playing happy families sans vampires as well as a flashback to the accident that killed Elena’s mother and father. Fans can also rejoice at the return of Sara Canning as Aunt Jenna who will appear in the flashbacks as well. 

Mr and Mrs Gilbert will be played by James MacDonald and Erin Beute and they’ll star in the finale airing May 10th on The CW.

ELLE UK have been teasing all week about their first solo male cover for the July issue and today they finally revealed that the brilliant David Beckham would be fulfilling the role. 

ELLE’s Editor-in-Chief, Lorraine Candy said “He is an icon and ELLE is known for featuring icons on its cover. This is a first for us on the newsstand and I believe he is loved by men and women alike. Anyway, who doesn’t want to see a picture of one of the world’s most handsome men on the front cover of a magazine? It will be a collector’s issue.’
